The purpose of this trip is to showcase the work of Timotheos in Malawi, giving supporters the opportunity to see firsthand how lives are being impacted. By experiencing the ministry and culture up close, we hope to deepen your connection with the work and strengthen your commitment to supporting the children and communities we serve.

This trip is open to supporters of Timotheos who want to see the work firsthand, meet local staff, and experience Malawian culture. Adults of all ages are welcome.

$5,000.00pp- which includes lodgings, travel, car rental, food, & safari tour
Note: this is the maximum. If trip costs are less (as in past years) you will pay less.

The trip is limited to a maximum of 17 participants, so be sure to confirm your spot early.

Yes. All travelers to Malawi are now required to fill in an online Visa application. Timotheos has prepared a document to make this easy for you.

Supporters will stay in safe and comfortable accommodations arranged by Timotheos, typically hotels, guesthouses or lodges.

Vaccination is not required however, some vaccinations may be recommended, such as yellow fever, hepatitis A, and typhoid. In addition, malaria prevention is strongly advised. Please consult your doctor or a travel clinic for specific recommendations.

If you sponsor a child, we will do our best to arrange a meeting with them during your trip.

Day 1 – Arrival in Blantyre
Settle into your accommodations, relax, and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.Day 2 – Mulinga Child Care Centre (CCC) & Local Market
Visit Mulinga CCC, explore the Blantyre market, and share dinner with our fieldworkers.Day 3 – Church & Fellowship
Attend a local church service, enjoy lunch with fieldworkers, listen to a church service at Mpemba, and spend time with the Oomen family.Day 4 – Mkomabasa CCC & Village Life
Visit Mkomabasa CCC, have lunch with students and staff, and experience village life through guided walks.Day 5 – Outreach & Safari Adventure
Tour Nsanje Hospital, visit Chigimukire CCC, teach a Bible lesson, meet sponsored children and staff, and tour the Southern Irrigation Project. In the evening, travel to Majete Wildlife Reserve for a safari tour and dinner.Day 6 – Safari & Local Life
Enjoy an early morning safari, then visit local businesses and markets before returning for dinner at the hotel.Day 7 – Education & Exploration
Visit David Livingstone Christian Academy, have lunch at Kefi Hotel, hike Zomba Mountain, and end the day with dinner alongside expats.Day 8 – Timotheos Headquarters
Tour the Timotheos head office, meet the staff, and take part in a closing meet-and-greet before departing from Blantyre Airport in the afternoon.Day 9 – Return to Canada
Arrive home with lasting memories and a deeper connection to the work in Malawi.
